Minneapolis Grain Exchange Announces Addition Of Infinium Capital Management As Market Maker In National Corn Index And Hard Winter Wheat Index Options

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) announced today it has in place an agreement with Infinium Capital Management (ICM), a proprietary capital management firm based in Chicago, to provide market liquidity in National Corn Index (NCI) and Hard Winter Wheat Index (HWI) options traded on MGEXpress®, the exchange's electronic trading platform. The agreement is effective immediately.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For Futures Contracts

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Monday, 1 September 2003, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Merrill Lynch Introduce Euro Currency TRAKRS<SUP><SMALL>SM </SUP></SMALL>Contracts

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) today launched Euro Currency TRAKRSSM futures, the fifth in a series of non-traditional futures products developed by CME and Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER). In a special opening procedure concluded today, 540,580 Euro Currency TRAKRS contracts representing $13.5 million were traded.

CBOT 2-Year T-Note Futures Contract Sets Daily Volume Record

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced a new daily volume record was set for the Two-Year Treasury Note futures contract with 102,443 contracts traded on August 27, breaking the previous record of 71,922 contracts traded May 29, 2003.

AMP Major Contributor In Busiest Options Day On ASX

ASX today announced the highest ever volume in exchange traded options trading, largely as a result of interest and activity in AMP, coinciding with options expiry day. AMP were the highest traded options stock, 24,250 contracts accounting for 16% of all contracts.
