CME To Close Open Outcry Trading Of Interest Rates At 1 P.M.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) will close open outcry pit trading of its interest rate products, including its flagship Eurodollar futures contract, at 1 p.m. (Central time) today, one hour earlier than normal. The action is in response to customer requests and is in coordination with related markets which are closing early due to the power outages in the New York region.

CBOT: Trading Hour Notice

Financial futures and options markets at the Chicago Board of Trade have been open for business throughout the night. All CBOT markets will open at their regularly scheduled time after extensive communication and coordination with the Bond Market Association, the New York Stock Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. The CBOT remains in constant communication with all of the above and will provide further information as it becomes available.

CBOT Revises Today's Early Close For Its Financial Products - Extends Trading On Its Electronic Trading Platform To 1:15 PM. (Central Time)

The Chicago of Trade (CBOT®) announced that it has revised today's early close time for its financial products on its electronic trading platform. Trading on the exchange's electronic trading platform for financial products will now close at 1:15 p.m. (Central Time) instead of 1:00 p.m. today, August 15, 2003.

Since Thursday, for the first time, Hungarian market participants from the Budapest Stock Exchange have been trading on Xetra, the electronic trading platform of Deutsche Börse, as the company announced on Thursday. SG Cowen And Lehman Brothers Settle Enforcement Actions With SEC And NYSE For Supervisory Failures In Frank Gruttadauria Case

The Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange today announced joint actions against SG Cowen Securities Corporation and Lehman Brothers, Inc. for failing to supervise Frank D. Gruttadauria, a former branch office manager and broker. Beginning in 1987, while employed at a series of broker- dealers, Gruttadauria misappropriated over $115 million from his customers.
