Copenhagen Stock Exchange Share Trading Reached All-time High In January

For the first time ever, the value of share trading exceeded DKK 50 billion in one single month as the total turnover amounted to DKK 53.4 billion in January 2004. This was a rise of 12 per cent compared with the previous record set in October 2002.

CFTC Designates New Exchange - U.S. Futures Exchange

In a public meeting, held on February 4, 2004, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) voted unanimously to designate the U.S. Futures Exchange, L.L.C. (USFE) as a contract market for the automated trading of futures and options on futures contracts. This is the CFTC’s seventh exchange designation since implementation of the Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (CFMA).

SEC Charges Former CIBC Managing Director With Fraud For Role In Financing Unlawful Mutual Fund Trading

The Securities and Exchange Commission instituted enforcement proceedings against Paul A. Flynn, a former managing director of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), for his role in providing financing to hedge funds he knew were engaged in unlawful market timing and late trading of mutual funds. Flynn, age 46, is a resident of Larchmont, New York.

OM Signs Extended Support Agreement With International Securities Exchange

OM and the International Securities Exchange (ISE) have signed an enhanced five year agreement for the support and maintenance of both the CLICKTM exchange trading system and CLICK TradeTM front end trading terminals.
