Nymex Surpasses 200,000 Contracts Cleared On NYMEX Clearport® In A Single Day

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that a record 222,051 contracts were cleared through NYMEX ClearPort® yesterday, surpassing the previous record of 186,320 contracts cleared on June 13.

NCDEX price ticker boards, displaying the Exchange’s live traded prices, have been installed in Abidjan in Cote-d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) on 10 June, 2005. Cote-d'Ivoire is one of the major exporters of raw cashew to India.
NASD Charges Gunnallen Broker With Threatening Public Company - Broker Attempted To Extort Inside Information With Threat To Drive Down Stock Price

NASD announced today that it has charged Shawn Aaron, a stockbroker with Gunnallen Financial, Inc., in Tampa, FL, with attempting to extort and intimidate Optelecom-NKF, Inc. ("OPTC"), a Nasdaq SmallCap company. NASD charged that Aaron threatened to drive down the price of the company's stock from about $13 to $6 per share unless it provided him with confidential business information.

Turnover The total turnover (excluding block trading) on all market segments of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) in May 2005 amounted to SIT 8.0 billion. In May 2005 total trading volume on FORTS (Futures & Options on the RTS) equaled 22 billion rubles and and 2.6 million contracts compared with 34,5 billion rubles and 4,1 million contract in April. Total open interest as of May 31st, 2005, decreased by 3% in rubles and contract and reached 15.06 billion rubles and 1 762,3 million contracts.
