Standard & Poor’s Announces Change To U.S. Index

Ceradyne Inc. (NASD:CRDN) will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Tuesday, December 7. Ceradyne will take the place of InVision Technologies Inc. (NASD:INVN), which is being removed from the Index after this evening’s market close. InVision Technologies is being acquired by S&P 500 constituent General Electric Co. National Stock Exchange(SM) November Trades Up 87 Percent And Share Volume Up 53 Percent From Year Earlier; Year-To-Date Trades And Share Volume At New All-Time Highs

National Stock Exchange (NSX(SM)) today announced that trades in November 2004 reached 29.3 million, up 87 percent from 15.7 million trades in November 2003. Share volume of 10.7 billion in November 2004 rose 53 percent from 7 billion in November 2003.

NASD Fines Morgan Stanley $100,000 For Municipal Bond Disclosure Violations - Over $200,000 In Restitution Paid, Offer To Repurchase Bonds Required - Firm Fined Additional $25,000 For Slow Response To Investigators’ Inquiries

NASD announced today that it sanctioned Morgan Stanley DW Inc. for failing to disclose to purchasers of municipal bonds that those bonds could be called prior their stated maturity dates, which could result in losses to the investors. Morgan Stanley’s failure to disclose the call feature violates Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) Rule G-15.
