The European Commission has proposed a new Directive extending by six months (until 30 October 2006) the deadline by which Member States must write into national law Directive 2004/39/EC on markets in financial instruments (“MiFID”), previously known as the Investment Services Directive. Deutsche Börse has expanded its real-time data feed offering. Effective immediately, the company offers CEF® alpha, a new real-time data feed developed exclusively for automated trading applications. CEF alpha provides direct access to real-time market data from Eurex® and Xetra® trading. ASX: Close Of SEATS Trading Today

Earlier today, due to broker feedback regarding anticipated high volumes from the News Corporation (NWS) reweighting, ASX announced it would extend the Closing Single Price Auction (CSPA) period by 5 minutes to close at approximately 4:10pm. This normally would have been done by a manual over-ride of the programmed schedule but an error was made and this did not happen. As of 20th of June 2005, the Clearing House of the WTB Hannover rises the Initial Margin Rates for Table Potatoes from 250 € to 400 €, for Futures on Processing Potatoes from 400 € to 600 € and for Futures on London Potatoes from 300 € to 500 €.
