Trading volumes on the international derivatives market Eurex and its U.S. subsidiary Eurex US continued to surge in November. Trading volume on Eurex, the world’s largest derivatives exchange, increased 24 percent year-on-year to reach 92 million contracts. Turnover in the EuroBund Future is up 44 percent compared to the same month last year. Standard & Poor’s Modifies Float Adjustment Schedule, Announces Change to U.S. Index

Beginning with the previously announced addition of News Corporation Inc. (NYSE:NWS.A) to the S&P 500 on Friday, December 17, all S&P U.S. index additions will be made using the added companies’ half float-adjusted market capitalization rather than their full market capitalization. This strategy has been implemented in light of S&P’s abiding goal of avoiding unnecessary turnover, and will continue until March 18, 2005, at which point the indices will transition in their entirety to a half float-

The RTS Stock Exchange (RTS) and Standard & Poor’s (S&P) signed Memorandum of understanding. This document announces cooperation of the parties in developing, calculating, licensing and world-wide distribution of Russian stock market indices. Beginning the first half of 2005, all indices, including the benchmark RTS Index – will be distributed under the joint brand "S&P/RTS".
