OneChicago Volume Increases 188% In 2005 - December Volume Up 260%

OneChicago, LLC today reported that 5,528,046 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in 2005, 188% more than 2004. The average daily volume (ADV) for the year was 21,937. Open interest hit a record 1.6 million contracts December 15.

NYBOT Announces Changes To Its Dublin Trading Hours

The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced today that effective with the start of trading on Friday, January 13, 2006, the Exchange is implementing amendments to its rules which provides that the Dublin trading session for all financial futures and options contracts shall begin at 2:00 am New York Time.

KCBT Sets New Annual Volume Records In 2005 - Kansas City Board Of Trade Sets New Exchange, Wheat Futures Volume Records In 2005

The Kansas City Board of Trade set new annual volume records for the exchange as a whole and for the wheat futures contract in 2005. Total exchange volume for 2005 amounted to 3,953,536 contracts, topping the previous record of 3,326,836 contracts set in 2002 by 18.8 percent.

The International Securities Exchange, Inc. (NYSE:ISE) today reported average daily trading volume for equity and index options contracts for December 2005. Average daily trading volume increased 22.3% to 1.8 million contracts per day as compared to 1.5 million contracts per day during the same period in 2004. Total equity and index options volume for the month increased 16.7% to 37.7 million contracts from 32.3 million contracts in the same year-ago period.

In December trading in equities on the Spanish market through SIBE reached €59.80 bn, 19% up on the same month in 2004 In December trading volume on the Latibex market was € 63 million, setting a monthly record high. Trading on MEFF reached 6.5 million contracts, 44% more than in December 2004. Accumulated trading volume in 2005 in stock futures and IBEX 35 Futures posted record highs. The Company has been notified that on Friday 30 December 2005 Mr Keppel Simpson, the Company’s non-executive chairman, purchased 195,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company at 2.5 pence per share. Following this purchase, Mr Simpson is interested in 480,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.6 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.
