RTS Stock Exchange: FORTS Shows All-Time Records

On December 8th, 2004, FORTS (Futures & Options on RTS) derivatives market registered the all-time records. The trading volume in contracts reached 435 thousand, 20% higher than the previous record of May 21st, 2003 (387 thousand contracts), and 2.5 times higher than the average daily data for November 2004.

Public Consultation On FTSE4Good Criteria Roadmap

FTSE Group (FTSE), the index company, today launches a public consultation, the results of which will be used to create a roadmap of future criteria development for the FTSE4Good Index Series. When the index was launched in July 2001 the FTSE4Good Policy Committee made a five-year commitment to develop and introduce new and more stringent criteria to the index.

OMX: BALTIX To Outreach 400 Points Since Its Launch

Today, the pan-Baltic index BALTIX outreached 400 points. The BALTIX serves as a benchmark for the Baltic securities market as it is calculated for the shares of companies listed on the Main Lists of Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn stock exchanges.

Trading of the eb.rexx® Jumbo Pfandbriefe EX (ISIN: DE0002635265) in the XTF segment on the Deutsche Börse started Thursday. This exchange-traded fund (ETF) is issued by Indexchange Investment AG, and is based on the eb.rexx® Jumbo Pfandbriefe selection index. The index is calculated by Deutsche Börse from the continually generated prices of the 25 most liquid fixed-income instruments in the Jumbo Pfandbriefe segment of the electronic fixed-income trading platform Eurex Bonds®.

NASD Fines Sigma Financial For Suing Customers In Violation OF NASD’S Arbitration Code - Firm Pays Customers’ Legal Costs, Firm President Suspended

NASD announced today that it has censured and fined Sigma Financial Corporation of Ann Arbor, MI and its president, Jerome Rydell, $135,000 for violating NASD's Code of Arbitration Procedure – by frivolously pursuing legal action against an elderly couple who had won an arbitration award against the firm.

KCBT Lowers Value Line® Fees For Electronic Trade - KCBT Electronic Trading To Launch December 12, Value Line Fees Temporarily Reduced

Kansas City Board of Trade electronic trading begins this Sunday, December 12, at 7:15 p.m. CT for the KCBT Value Line® stock index futures contract and 7:32 p.m. CT for Hard Red Winter Wheat futures. The KCBT® wheat futures and options contracts will continue to be traded by open outcry during regular trading hours, while Value Line will be traded exclusively on the electronic trading platform.
