OMX Tallinn Index Smashes Through 1000 Points Barrier

Yesterday, the OMX Tallinn index reached 1 010.76 points with an increase of 18.04% since January 1, 2007. OMX Tallinn is an all-share index, which includes most of the shares listed on the Main, and I-list on the Tallinn Stock Exchange. The aim of the index is to reflect the current status and changes on the Tallinn market.

OneChicago, LLC today reported that 1,536,984 security futures contracts traded at the Exchange in January, a 39% increase from December 2006 volume and an 87% increase from January 2006. Average daily volume (ADV) in January 2007 was 76,849 contracts.
