Wiener Börse Last Trading Day On December 30, 2004

As in recent years, the call phase (in several instrument groups the market balancing phase as well) in the auction for bonds will be longer than usual on December 30, 2004. This extension of the call phase shall ensure a smooth flow of transactions on the last trading day of 2004. The end of bond trading is, as usual, at 4:00 p.m.

Vilnius Stock Exchange Trading Rules Have Been Changed

Changes to the Trading rules of the Vilnius Stock Exchange (VSE) related to the admission, annual listing and commission fees for transactions have been made and will come into effect on January 1, 2005.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices effective the close of trading Monday, January 03, 2005: OMV AG (Austria, SEDOL: 4651459, GICS: Energy, GICS Code: 10102010), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will increase to 30,000,000 and IWF (Investable Weight Factor) will change from 0.454 to 0.509. This is following the company’s successful completion of a share capital increase.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/CITIC 300 Index effective after the close of trading Thursday, December 30, 2004: Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Co., Ltd. (China, SEDOL: 6313854, GICS: Industrials, GICS Code: 20106010), a member of the S&P/CITIC 300 Index, free-float A shares will increase by 34,186,619 to 210,186,619. This change is due to a new issue of shares. There will also be a change to the IWF.

Restoration Of The Governing Board Of Ahmedabad Stock Exchange

The Governing Board of Ahmedabad Stock Exchange (ASE) was superseded by SEBI on March 25, 2003 for a period of one year and Shri P.K.Ghosh, IAS (Retd.) was appointed as Administrator to exercise and perform all the powers and duties of the Board. The supersession was further extended twice up to December 24, 2004.

NASD will finish another extremely productive year in 2004 protecting investors and instilling investor confidence through comprehensive enforcement actions, rule writing and investor education activities. Highlights for 2004 include filing 1,360 enforcement actions, barring or suspending 830 individuals from the securities industry and collecting more than $102 million in disciplinary fines.

Within the context of the introduction of the new currency “New Turkish lira (Yeni Türk Lirasi - YTL)” (ISO Code: TRY), the ISE decided on the following changes to be in effect on the ISE Stock, Bonds and Bills and Derivatives Markets as of January 1, 2005 considering that; The new currency of Turkish Republic will be “New Turkish lira (YTL)” as of January 1, 2005, The Turkish lira currently in circulation will be converted to New Turkish lira as TL 1,000,000 = YTL 1.

Investable Weight Factor Change For Tiscali SPA In The S&P/MIB Index

Standard & Poor’s will change the IWF (Investable Weight Factor) for Tiscali SPA (Italy, ISIN IT0001453924), a member of the S&P/MIB Index, from 0.54 to 0.609 effective at the close of trading Tuesday, January 04 2005. This is following the sale of ordinary shares by the Sandoz Family Foundation, which has reduced its holding to 9.204 percent of shares outstanding.

BM&F Launches New Contracts Indexed To IPCA

The Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange (BM&F) announced on December 16th the launching of two new products indexed to IPCA – Índice Nacional de Preços ao Consumidor Amplo (Extended Consumer Price Index): IPCA Futures Contract and the ID x IPCA Spread Futures Contract. According to BM&F’s Chairman, Mr. Manoel Felix Cintra Neto, the new contracts begin trading February of 2005.
