The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced that, for the second day in a row, volume in options on the iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM) set a new record, with 636,006 contracts (130,367 calls and 505,639 puts) trading at CBOE today. This beats the new record set yesterday, when 335,196 IWM contracts traded at CBOE, topping the previous record of 320,834 contracts, set on October 12, 2005.Open interest in IWM options stood at 5,647,213 contracts at the start of trading this morning.
HKFE Announces Revised Margins For China Life Futures

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Tuesday, 16 May 2006, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining methodology.
