Initial Margin Increase On Futures And Options On RTS Stock Exchange (FORTS)

From June 09 to June 14 th , 2005, FORTS Derivatives Market increases the minimal size of the initial margin payments for the following single stock futures: “RAO UES of Russia”, “LUKOil” and “Gazprom” to 20% of the value of the contract, “Rostelecom”, “Surgutneftegaz”, “Norilsk Nickel” to 25% of the value of the contract.

HKEx To Introduce Denway Motors And Esprit Holdings Futures And Options

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce futures and options contracts based on Denway Motors Limited (DWM) and Esprit Holdings Limited (ESP) shares on Monday, 11 July.

Clearstream Sees Rise In International Transactions Of 14.4 Percent In May

Clearstream’s core business areas saw further growth during May 2005 with the number of international transactions processed by Clearstream rising to 1.52 million for the month representing a rise of 14.4 percent compared to the same month last year (May 2004: 1.33 million). Of these transactions, 14 percent are registered as stock exchange transactions, 86 percent are Over the Counter (OTC) transactions.

Bunzl And Corus Group To Exit FTSE 100 Index

FTSE Group confirms this evening that Bunzl will join Corus Group in leaving the FTSE 100 index and entering the FTSE 250 index. This makes way for the promotion of plasterboard supplier BPB and Hammerson, the property company, from the FTSE 250 to the FTSE 100 index. After Bunzl's demerger last week, the packaging company's market capitalisation has fallen below the ranking needed for inclusion in the blue chip index. Bunzl was added to the FTSE 100 three years ago.
