Deutsche Boerse: Total Turnover On German Stock Exchanges In November Rises 7 Percent To €268 Billion - Xetra Transactions Increase 8 Percent To 6.2 Million

Based on the aggregate statistics, a total volume of € 268.5 billion was traded on the German stock exchanges in November, up seven percent m-o-m (October 2004: € 251 billion). This total includes €216.7 billion in equities, warrants, and exchange traded funds, as well as €51.8 billion in fixed-income securities.

CME, the largest U.S. futures exchange, today reported that total volume for November averaged more than 3.2 million contracts per day, up 40 percent from the same period a year ago. CBOT November Exchange-Wide Volume Soars To New Record - Electronic Trading Volume Rises To New All-Time Monthly High

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced that the exchange experienced its highest monthly volume ever in November, with turnover for the month increasing 58 percent from the prior year to 59,467,507 contracts. The CBOT’s electronic trading platform also reached a new volume record, rising 93 percent from November 2003 to 37,226,789 contracts traded.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that November volume totaled 34,767,192 contracts traded, an increase of 51% over the November 2003 volume of 23,084,363 contracts, while CBOE's year-to-date volume of over 330 million contracts traded is up 29% over 2003. CanDeal Deals $10 Billion Month

CanDeal, Canada’s leader in online debt securities trading, today announced that it achieved record trading volume for the month of November. Over $10 Billion in debt securities were traded on the CanDeal network, up 43% from the same period last year. Over $130 Billion in fixed income securities have been traded by Institutional Investors on the platform. In November, bond trading accounted for 70% of total trading while money market securities made up the remainder.
