Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P European Indices
Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus, and S&P Euro Indices effective after the close of trading Thursday, August 22, 2002: Degussa AG (Germany, SEDOL 4870834) will be deleted from the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus, and S&P Euro Indices due to a large reduction in its free float. Seven Companies To Join The NextEconomy And NextPrime Market Segments
NextPrime and NextEconomy, the market segments launched on 2 January 2002, will welcome 7 additional companies on 2 September 2002. This will raise the total to 262 companies, representing almost one quarter of all domestic listed companies on Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris regulated markets.

SEC Charges A Former High-Ranking Enron Official - Defendant Permanently Barred From Serving As Officer Or Director Of Public Company - To Disgorge And Forfeit Approximately $12 Million
The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it had charged Michael J. Kopper, a former high-ranking Enron official, with violating the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws. Without admitting or denying the allegations of the complaint, Kopper has agreed to be enjoined permanently from violating Section 10(b) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and Exchange Act Rule 10b-5, and to be barred permanently from acting as an officer or director of a public company. Oslo Børs And Nord Pool Will Not Submit Joint Bid For NOS
Nord Pool ASA and Oslo Børs Holding ASA have jointly assessed their respective relationships with NOS ASA. Among the alternatives considered was presenting a joint tender to purchase all NOS shares. Nord Pool and Oslo Børs have decided not to proceed with such a joint bid.

New Dow Jones Industrial Average Divisor Announced
Dow Jones & Company announced a new DowSM Jones Industrial Average Divisor effective August 21, 2002, to reflect Citigroups's spinoff of its remaining shares of Travelers Property Casualty. The new divisor is .14418073 (versus the old .14445222).

Meeting Of The Board Of Oslo Børs On 21 August 2002
At a meeting held today, the Board of Oslo Børs resolved to impose a violation charge of NOK 100,000 on Ocean Rig ASA for breaching the duty of disclosure. At the same meeting the Board rejected an application to delete shares in Jøtul ASA from listing, and upheld its earlier decision to impose a violation charge of NOK 750,000 on Fearnley Fonds ASA. In addition the Board agreed to admit DSND Inc. (Formerly DSND Subsea ASA) to listing on the Main List following the restructuring of the company.
