A solicitor, Adrian Sam has been made bankrupt by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) because his previous law firm, Adrian Sam & Co (ASC), assisted an illegal overseas boiler room.

CBOT To Launch Mini-Sized Ag Contracts On E-CBOT

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) announced today that it will launch mini-sized CBOT Ag futures contracts on its e-cbot® electronic trading platform. This is the first time these contracts will be available on an electronic platform and they will include mini-sized Corn, mini-sized Soybeans and mini-sized Wheat contracts.

HKEx Agrees To Sell Its Interest In Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has agreed to sell its 30 per cent interest in Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited (CHIS) to Computershare Limited of Australia, which currently owns 70 per cent of CHIS, for $270,320,130.

SEC: Nicor To Pay $10 Million To Settle Fraud Charges

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Nicor, Inc., a major Chicago-area natural gas distributor, and Jeffrey Metz, its former Assistant Vice President and Controller, will pay more than $10 million to settle charges that they engaged in improper transactions, made material misrepresentations, and failed to disclose material information regarding Nicor's gas inventory in order to meet earnings targets and increase the company's revenues under a performance-based rate plan

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today the launch of PHLX modified foreign exchange spot rates for the Euro (XDE) and British Pound (XDB). PHLX will disseminate a modified spot rate beginning Friday, March 30. Pursuant to the Exchange’s modified spot rate methodology, if the British Pound is valued at 1.9750, the modified rate will be disseminated as 197.50.
