Sydney Futures Exchange Experiences Record Trading Volumes On The New Zealand 90 Day Bank Bill Futures Contract
Sydney Futures Exchange experienced record daily trading volumes on Thursday 9 March in the New Zealand Bank Bill Future. A total of 38,160 contracts were traded, up 86% from the previous record set on 26 June 1998 when the notional contract value was half its current size. Open interest remains at an all time high of approximately 152,000 contracts.

SEC Files Fraud Charges Against Dallas Investment Adviser And Its President In $1.9 Million Junk-Fax “Scalping” Scheme
The Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit today against registered investment adviser BMA Ventures, Inc. and its president, William Robert Kepler, 35, of Dallas, Texas, alleging that they illegally obtained approximately $1.9 million in a fraudulent “scalping” scheme from January 2004 through March 2005.

New York Mercantile Exchange Changes Guaranty Fund To Provide Greater Financial Safeguards
The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that effective May 1, it will increase the value of its guaranty fund to $200 million. The fund, which may be used by the Exchange in the event that a clearing member fails to discharge its obligations, is currently valued at approximately $130 million.
