  • PMA Capital Corporation To Join Nasdaq Financial-100 Index Beginning July 17, 2000

    PMA Capital Corporation (Nasdaq: PMACA), of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will become a component of the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Monday, July 17, 2000. PMACA will replace National Bancorp of Alaska, Inc., which is being acquired.

  • PHLX Continues To Set Volume Records

    The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that equity options volume for the month of June 2000 reached 4,856,628 contracts traded, a 61% increase over June 1999 when 3,018,155 contracts changed hands. Year to date equity options volume reached a new record of 28,300,085 contracts traded, a 27% increase over the first six months of 1999 when approximately 22 million contracts changed hands.

  • Increased Coverage For FTSE All-World Index

    Following the successful introduction of the FTSE All-World Index, FTSE has now completed the first interim review of all new constituents included in the FTSE All-World Index. A further 27 stocks will be added to the FTSE All-World Index after the close of business on 21 July 2000.

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that the Board of Directors approved July 20th as the launch date for futures contracts on the Dow Jones Transportation AverageSM, the Dow Jones Utility AverageSM, and the Dow Jones Composite AverageSM. Contracts on the Dow Jones Transportation AverageSM and the Dow Jones Utility AverageSM have received regulatory approval. Contracts on the Dow Jones Composite AverageSM are pending regulatory approval.
