Deutsche Börse Announces Agenda For 2005 AGM - Calls On Shareholders To Register Support For Ongoing Efforts To Enhance Shareholder Value/ Repeats Call For TCI Cooperation With Orderly Board Transition In 2006
Deutsche Börse on Tuesday published the agenda for the company’s 2005 AGM, to be held on 25 May. Commenting on the AGM, Rolf-E. Breuer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said, "In the vote at this year’s AGM, shareholders will have the opportunity to express their support for ongoing Board and management initiatives to achieve superior returns for shareholders."

CESR Takes Further Steps To Increase Its Accountability To The European Institutions And To Enable The European Union To Assess The Steps Being Undertaken To Enhance Supervisory Convergence On A Day-To-Day Basis
On Thursday, 7 April 2005, CESR presented its 2004 Annual Report and a detailed report on the steps it is taking to improve supervisory convergence in the European Union to the Financial Services Committee (FSC). The FSC is a Council Committee that gathers together high-level representatives of the European Union’s Finance Ministries. BEL 20 Index: Umicore-Cumerio Demerger
Following the announcement of Umicore, made public on February 22, 2005, concerning a demerger of their copper branch into a new company to be named Cumerio, Euronext Indices would like to draw the attention on article 5.4.8 of the BEL20® index rules. This article stipulates that if a company is split to form two new companies, none, one or both of them may qualify for admission to the BEL20® index depending on their respective market capitalization.

Trading On London Stock Exchange Continues To Set New Records
The London Stock Exchange saw a total 6.8 million equity trades across its markets during March 2005. This represented an increase of nine per cent on the total number of trades in the same month last year, despite there being two fewer business days in March this year. The average daily number of trades reached 323,152, a new record for the third consecutive month, and an increase of 19 per cent on March 2004. STOXX Ltd. To License Pan-European Select Dividend And Broad European Indexes To Indexchange
STOXX Ltd., the leading European index provider, today announced that it has licensed four of its indexes to Indexchange, the German investment company that specializes in exchange-traded funds. The Dow Jones STOXX Select Dividend 30 Index, Dow Jones EURO STOXX Select Dividend 30 Index, Dow Jones STOXX EU Enlarged 15 Index and Dow Jones EURO STOXX will serve as the underlying for exchange-traded funds, and are expected to launch soon, pending Indexchange’s regulatory approval.

Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes To U.S. Indices
Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P SmallCap 600 and S&P REIT Composite indices: iPayment Inc. (NASD:IPMT) will replace Province Healthcare Co. (NYSE:PRV) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Friday, April 15. Province Healthcare is being acquired by S&P MidCap 400 constituent LifePoint Hospitals Inc.
