Deutsche Börse has further expanded its XTF segment for international exchange-traded index funds (ETFs) on the electronic trading platform Xetra. Since Wednesday, three more exchange-traded funds issued by Lyxor Asset Management have been tradable in XTF.

Bursa Malaysia Posts 35% Increase In 2006 Net Profit, Substantially Meets KPIs

Bursa Malaysia Berhad (“Bursa Malaysia”) today reported a net profit after tax of RM108.9 million for the financial year ended 31 December 2006 – a 35% increase over the net profit of RM80.9 million for the corresponding period last year. Bursa Malaysia also substantially met its headline KPIs for 2006.

SGX Introduces Clearing Of OTC Balance-Of-Month Gasoil Contracts

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) today announced that SGX AsiaClear® will offer the clearing of OTC Balance-of-Month (BOM) Gasoil Swaps Contracts from 2 March 2007. This brings the number of BOM contracts listed for clearing to three, following SGX AsiaClear®’s BOM Fuel Oil 180 cst and 380 cst Contracts listed in September 06. SGX AsiaClear® is the first in Asia to offer OTC Balance-of-Month clearing for oil swaps contracts.

In advance of this week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on January 31, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the forward overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.
