  • Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. Cancels After-Hours Electronic Trading This Evening

    In coordination with other financial exchanges and U.S. regulatory authorities, Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) announced that after-hours electronic trading on the exchange's GLOBEX®2 system will be cancelled this evening, following suspension this morning of all trading in the exchange's contracts. CME officials said the exchange will maintain constant communication with other markets and regulatory authorities in order to determine when open outcry and electronic trading will resume

    The Market for New Investment (MAI) will start trading on September 12 with Brooker Group as the first listed company. The corporate tax rate for the company has been reduced to 20% for five years. Tax incentives is believed to attract more listed companies to the MAI.

    The Administrative Court of Helsinki has decided on 7 September that HEX Group is entitled to a refund of the value added tax that Helsinki Stock Exchange Ltd paid in 1995 and 1996 on its services relating to stock exchange trading, other public trading and clearing.
