Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. To Resume Normal Trade In Most Products On Thursday, Sept. 13 - Pending Decision On Equity Index Futures, Options In Coordination With U.S. Securities Markets

Chicago Mercantile Inc. (CME) announced that floor trading of its interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity markets and its Nikei 225 equity index futures and options contracts will resume at their normal times tomorrow, Sept. 13. Electronic markets will re-open at the same time as open outcry.

After closing its markets on Wednesday, September 12, out of respect for the victims of the tragic events in New York City and Washington, D.C., the Chicago Board of Trade announced today that it will reopen its open outcry and electronic trading systems on Thursday, September 13. All times are Chicago times.

CBOT Crop Report Briefing Rescheduled For September 14

The Chicago Board of Trade rescheduled for September 14 the next in its series of press briefings for the media and members related to crop production and supply/demand reports, following release of the reports by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The briefing, presented by the Communications Department, will be held on the agricultural trading floor apron starting at 8:15 a.m. (Chicago time), prior to the start of trading, and will be webcast via MemberNet, the member web site.

The BSE is closed for trading today following yesterday's attacks in the US. The BSE is located in the United Nations office building which has been shut down for security reasons. We understand that the situation will be reviewed tomorrow morning.

All OM New York Employees Safe

Almost 24 hours after the terror attack against the USA, OM has established contact with all 93 employees and consultants working at the OM New York office. All are safe and sound. This is also true for the people travelling on OM's behalf in or around the US.

All FTSE Indices Held For One Minute This Afternoon

In response to the tragic events in the USA yesterday, all FTSE indices were held at 1345 BST today, for a period of one minute. This move is in line with the suspended trading conditions, which will be observed by the London and other European stock exchanges today. The FTSE Group Client Services desks and press offices worldwide observed one minute's silence.
