In response to the events today in the United States, the Toronto Stock Exchange has closed. TSE officials will be monitoring the situation and will issue a news release when a decision is made to resume trading. At the close of trading, the TSE 300 Composite Index was down 293.86 to 7050.84.

The Central Bank Of Iceland Auctions Repurchase Agreements For 29.6 billion krónur

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on September 11 of the maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.9 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 29.6 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

OM Wins Systems Order From Minneapolis Grain Exchange

Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX), offering trading in the third largest wheat contract in the USA, has signed an agreement with OM for the delivery of OM's CLICK exchange system. The order is the first in a new type of deal for OM whereby OM will act as Trading Service Provider (TSP) with facility management of the operations of MGEX on a platform that can be shared by a number of exchanges. The order runs over 3 years and implementation of the project will commence during the fall of 2001.
