  • Copenhagen Stock Exchange: New Improved Price Picture On The Exchange

    With effect from 1 July 2001 the reporting rules on the trading of listed securities were changed. For several years, the price picture on the Danish market has been criticised by both Danish and foreign investors of not providing the transparency needed. We have now removed the "pollution" so that it is easier to see the price and trading picture, the transparency has been improved for the benefit of both the market place and investors.

  • Copenhagen Stock Exchange Equity Trading In August On Level With July 2001

    Equity trading in August amounted to DKK 33.7 billion which is an increase of 4 per cent on the month of July. The average daily trading reached DKK 1.5 billion. Compared with the month of August 2000, this translates into a daily decline in trading of 57 per cent.

  • CME GLOBEX2 Record Volume Surpasses 500,000 Mark As Open Interest Continues Record-Setting Run

    Trading volume on GLOBEX®2, the electronic trading system of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), continued to set new records with 517,910 contracts traded yesterday - the first time single-day volume surpassed the 500,000 level. The record bests the previous record set on Sept. 4 of 425,179 contracts. In addition, CME has posted 12 consecutive days of exchangewide open interest records, beginning on Aug. 17 with 14,533,564 positions and reaching a new all-time high yesterday of 15,406,108 p

  • Nymex Brent Crude Futures Set Record For First Day Volume

    The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced that the Brent crude oil futures contract launched this morning traded an estimated 13,293 lots, more than double the previous Exchange record for trading in a new contract.
