  • OM Chosen As Technology Partner To NASD

    OM, a world leading supplier of trading technology, and the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), the largest securities-industry, self-regulatory organization in the United States, have signed an agreement to build the Alternative Display Facility (ADF) - an over-the-counter quotation and trade reporting facility - of which OM's SAXESS™ system is a central component. The system will be delivered in June 2002. The agreement includes license, project and support of the system.

    The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced that there will be no Henry Hub natural gas swap trading on NYMEX ACCESS session after 9 AM on Friday, January 11, so that maintenance can be performed on the system.

  • Nasdaq Japan Board To Promote Yoshiro Katsuya To President

    The Board of Directors of Nasdaq Japan, Inc. approved Yoshiro Katsuya's election to the Board and his promotion to President and Tatsuyuki Saeki's promotion to Chairman. Mr. Katsuya's appointment is expected to be formally approved following a shareholders' meeting on 25 January.

  • Euronext Brussels: Termination BXS Sector Indices

    On 23 December 1999, the executive committee of BXS decided to replace the BXS classification system by the classification system of the index compiler FTSE international. Furthermore, the committee decided to calculate and to publish a new set of sector indices based on this classification system from 15/02/2000 onwards. However, in order to assure the continuity, it was also decided that the existing BXS sector indices would be maintained for an interim period of 2 years.
