Euronext Amsterdam: Akzo Nobel Did Not Violate Listing And Issuing Rules

After investigating the publication of certain information by Akzo Nobel N.V. (Akzo Nobel), Euronext Amsterdam N.V. (Euronext) has concluded that Akzo Nobel did not violate the Listing and Issuing Rules. The information concerned questions posed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in connection with the request for permission to market the drug gepirone ER, also known as Ariza, developed by Akzo Nobel’s subsidiary Organon.

Deutsche Börse Shows Further Growth In Second Quarter - Sales Revenue Up 12 Percent In Q2, EBIT Rises 14 Percent - First Six Months See 10 Percent Growth In Sales Revenue And Four Percent In EBIT

Deutsche Börse AG shows further substantial growth in sales revenue and EBIT for the second quarter of the current business year. The company reported on Wednesday that, compared to the second quarter of last year, sales revenue increased by about 12 percent, to 205.3 million euros. Earnings before taxes and interest (EBIT), at 80.0 million euros, was 14 percent higher than in the second quarter of last year. CME Posts Third Consecutive Open Interest Record

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) established its third consecutive exchange-wide open interest record yesterday, Aug. 6, with 19,302,778 positions. The previous record was 19,102,689 positions set on Aug. 5.

In advance of next week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting on August 13, the Chicago Board of Trade will be reporting daily rate change probabilities in the FOMC's federal funds target rate, as indicated by the CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract. The CBOT® 30-Day Federal Funds futures contract is a key benchmark interest rate barometer that reflects the overnight effective rate for excess reserves that are traded among commercial banks in the U.S. federal funds market.

SEC Charges 81 Defendants In Telemarketing Stock Fraud Schemes - Schemes Took In Approximately $30 Million

The Securities and Exchange Commission brought charges today arising from 10 schemes in which the defendants conducted unregistered securities offerings and fraudulently diverted the proceeds to pay exorbitant, undisclosed commissions to telemarketers and other unregistered brokers who solicited the investors. NASD Board Approves Proposed Amendments To Strengthen Authority In Member Application Reviews

NASD's Board of Governors has approved for comment proposed amendments to rules that strengthen NASD's authority to preclude firms from using structural changes to avoid meeting their arbitration obligations to investors. Any final proposed amendment must be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for approval.
