OM Stockholm Exchange today introduces Attract40, a new segment within the O-list. At the same time, the O-list and the OTC-list will be combined in the new O-list, and a new index based on Attract40 is launched.

London Metal Exchange: Review Of The Weighting Of LMEX Components By The Independent Review Committee
The independent committee that has responsibility for reviewing the weighting of the metals that comprise the LMEX index met in London under the chairmanship of Professor Thomas Schneeweis on Friday 26 May. One member of the committee, Dr Richard Spurgin, was unable to attend, but gave his views to the chairman of the committee.

LME Announces Record 6-Monthly Volumes
The London Metal Exchange Limited today announced record trading of 35.4 million lots for the first 6 months in 2000. This represents an increase of 18% over the same period in 1999, itself a record year. At today's prices, total Exchange traded volume in the first half of 2000 is equivalent to $1.4 trillion.

KCBT Sets New Monthly Exchange Volume Records
A spate of wheat futures and options volume records in June led the Kansas City Board of Trade to shatter all previous total exchange volume records. Total volume at the exchange for the month of June was 335,203 contracts. The previous monthly record of 309,539 contracts was set in June 1999.

The Iceland Stock Exchange announces: Hlutabrefasjodur Bunadarbankans hf. (Equity fund) does now qualify for registration on the Main list on The Iceland Stock Exchange. The symbol will change from HW/HLUTBUN to HS/HLUTBUN.

Eurex World's First Clearinghouse To Introduce Remote Clearing - Launch date Is August 1st
Eurex is the world's first exchange to expand its remote membership policy and facilities, already valid for trading, to clearing. So-called Remote Clearing will be introduced on August 1. Otto E. Nägeli made the announcement at a press conference in London on Monday. Participants from every country in the EU and from Switzerland will then not just be able to participate in trading directly; they will also be able to clear transactions themselves. Eurex At Continuing High Level - 39.8 Million Contracts Traded - Record Turnover In Futures On The Dow Jones Euro STOXX 50 - Good Start For Derivatives On Nemax 50
Eurex, the European derivatives market, achieved excellent results in June with 39.8 million contracts traded, an increase of 3.7 percent over the June 1999 volume. A total of about 237 million contracts have already been traded at Eurex this year. Thus, after only two quarters, trading volume is almost up to the level recorded for all of 1998 (248 million contracts).

489 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges In June - New Xetra Records In Growth Stocks, Small- And Mid-Cap Segments
A total of 488.9 billion euros in volume was traded in equities, warrants and fixed-income securities on the German stock exchanges in June, about two percent more than the volume traded in June one year ago. The total comprises 367.1 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds, and 121.7 billion euros in fixed-income securities. Trading at FWB, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, accounted for about 88 percent of the total equities turnover in Germany.
