Panelists Set For SEC Hedge Fund Roundtable; May 14-15 Discussions To Be Webcast In Real Time

A wide range of stakeholders in the hedge fund industry - including fund managers, service providers, attorneys, accountants, investor advocates and foreign and U.S. regulators - will participate in the Securities and Exchange Commission Roundtable Discussions regarding hedge funds on Wednesday, May 14, 2003, and Thursday, May 15, 2003. The Roundtable Discussions are part of the SEC's formal fact-finding investigation of the hedge fund industry, which was launched in the spring of 2002.

Minneapolis Grain Exchange Certifies New Financially Settled Hard Winter Wheat Contracts; Launch Day Detailed

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) announced today that on May 6, 2003, the exchange certified to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) that the rules and regulations of its new financially settled hard winter wheat futures and options comply with the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and its regulations. The CFTC was also notified by MGEX that trading in the new contracts commences on May 9, 2003.

HKEx Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 19 May 2003 (Monday), 18 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and seven existing Designated Securities will be removed from the list. The total number of Designated Securities for short selling will be 174.

Deutsche Börse AG is continuing on its growth course: The company shows 126.1 million euros in EBIT for the first quarter, its highest level to date. Year on year, EBIT rose by some 44 percent, sales increased by about 71 percent to 350.5 million euros.
