  • Euronext.liffe Announces Exclusive Fee Reductions For Traders In Singapore

    Euronext.liffe today announced a new incentive scheme for Singapore-based derivatives traders. The scheme will offer free electronic trading for independent professional or local traders between 1st October 2004 and the end of 2005, and will apply to three major short term interest rate (STIR) contract suites: Euribor, Eurodollar and Short Sterling.

  • CBOT And CME Announce First Remote Clearing Firm Under Common Clearing Link

    The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) and Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Inc. (CME) announced today that European remote clearing for their products is being utilized for the first time. Enskilda Futures Limited, part of the Swedish banking group Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, now has the ability to directly clear transactions in CBOT and CME products from its European offices.

  • CBOT 10- & 5 Yr. T-Note Contracts Hit New Open Interest Records

    On July 28, 2004, the Chicago Board of Trade established two new open interest records--one in Ten-Year U.S. Treasury futures and the other in Five-Year U.S. Treasury Note futures. This is the third consecutive open interest record this week for the exchange's Five-year T-Note futures contract; and in the last half of July, CBOT Five-Year T-Note futures has reached nine of its top 10 highest open interest days.
