RTS Stock Exchange: RTS Index And RTS Current Quotes Index To Use Free Float Ratios

At its June 1st, 2004, meeting the RTS Board of Directors has decided to change methods of calculation of RTS Index and RTS Current Quotes Index. Effective July 1st, 2004, these indices will take into consideration stocks’ free floats.

For the week of May 31st – June 4th, 2004, the total trading volume of direct and indirect transactions (including REPO transactions) increased by 32% and reached 12 864 million rubles. Internet trading accounted for 38%, down from 43% the week before. 13 730 transactions were executed.
