CBOT Announces Trading Schedule For June 11

In conjunction with other financial markets, the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) has announced that open auction trading for all products will be closed on Friday, June 11, with an abbreviated electronic trading session in observance of the national day of mourning for President Ronald Reagan. Securities Industry Association: Initiative Promises To Strengthen SEC Collaboration With European Regulators To Improve Transatlantic Capital Market

The Securities Industry Association welcomed today’s joint announcement by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Committee of European Securities Regulators in which the organizations agreed, among other things, to promote regulatory convergence in future securities regulation of the transatlantic capital market. The SEC and CESR also seek to identify emerging risks to address any potential regulatory problems early.

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) announced today that they intend to increase their co-operation and collaboration. In a press conference held in Amsterdam, SEC Commissioner Roel C. Campos and CESR Chairman Arthur Docters van Leeuwen presented the terms of reference establishing the structure of this enhanced dialogue, and set out the subjects that will dominate the agenda during 2004 and 2005.
