CBOT Successfully Launches SAB Futures Contract

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that on Friday, May 20, the Exchange successfully launched CBOT South American Soybean futures, the Exchange’s first agricultural contract with international physical delivery points. The new contract was created to meet the risk management needs of producers and consumers worldwide of soybeans grown in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

UK’s Financial Services Authority Creates New Accounting And Auditing Sector Team

The FSA has created a new accounting and auditing sector team to co-ordinate work across the FSA that involves accountancy issues. The new sector team will be led by Kari Hale, Director of Finance, Strategy and Risk, and formerly sector leader for banking. Thomas Huertas, Director of Wholesale Firms, will take over leadership of the banking sector.
