Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Tuesday, August 16, 2005: The relative weight of Metro Inc. (TSX:MRU.SV.A) will increase by approximately 0.06% in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, by 0.38% in the S&P/TSX MidCap and by 1.35% in the S&P/TSX Capped Consumer Staples Indices. Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes to the S&P 500, S&P 100 and S&P SmallCap 600 indices after the close of trading on Thursday, August 18: S&P REIT Composite constituent Public Storage Inc. (NYSE:PSA) will replace Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:DAL) in the S&P 500. At the close of trading on August 15 Delta had a market capitalization of roughly $200 million, ranking 500th in the index.
