The Board of Directors of the holding company Eignarhaldsfelagid Verdbrefathing hf., which owns and operates the Iceland Stock Exchange (ICEX) and the Icelandic Securities Depository (ISD), has approved its annual financial statements for the year 2003. The following table shows the principal items in the company's Consolidated Income Statement and Balance Sheet for 2003 and, for comparison purposes, for 2002 (all amounts are in ISK thousands). Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) announced yesterday that it will provide additional trading incentives to market users of its Eurodollar futures contracts and that it has finalized its Eurodollar proposal based on input from its member and clearing member firm customers.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that it will begin trading options on the newly created SIG Cable, Media &Entertainment IndexTM (SCQSM) at the start of trading on Tuesday, February17. Susquehanna Investment Group, will act as specialist in this new product.

RTS Order-Driven Market Turnover Reaches Its All-Time Maximum

On February 12th, 2004, daily total turnover on the RTS Stock Exchange Order-driven market reached its all-time maximum of 6,1 billion rubles. The last record of 5 966 million rubles was set six months ago, on July 24, 2003.
