Stock Exchange Of Thailand: Submitting Trading Orders Directly Via Internet Approved

SET President Mr. Kittiratt Na-Ranong reported that the SET Board of Governors has approved the acceptance of trading orders sent by the investors themselves via the Internet. This new procedure may be executed at or outside the brokers’ offices. The acceptance by the SET of this new practice will become effective by April 2005. Stock Exchange Of Thailand To Proactively Prevent Rumors, Including Inviting Listed Companies’ Executives To Present Important Information

The SET Board of Governors adds more measures to prevent rumors. When necessary, the listed companies’ executives may be invited to present information to the public. According to the SEC’s examination, the SET’s operations have reasonably met their expectations. Suggestions from the SEC have included measures to prevent rumors, improve the updating of REHABCO companies’ information, and improve listed companies’ free-float proportions.

S&P To Add Income Trusts To The S&P/TSX Composite Index - Enhancing The TSX’s Premier Benchmark Of The Canadian Equity Market

Standard & Poor’s, the world’s leading provider of independent financial research, ratings, and indices, today announced that it intends to include Income Trusts in the S&P/TSX Composite Index, Canada’s premier equity index. The decision follows a study of Income Trusts by the S&P/TSX Canadian Index Committee, as well as consultation with Standard & Poor’s Canadian Index Advisory Panel and other interested groups.
