LME Appoints Cinnober Financial Technology AB To Develop Matching And Registration System As Part Of An Integrated Technology Platform
The London Metal Exchange has today agreed contract terms with Cinnober Financial Technology AB to design and build a new electronic matching and registration system for the LME and to take forward the LME's electronic trading platform, LME Select.

HKEx Sets Date For Launch Of The Second Phase Of CCASS/3
Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will introduce the second phase of CCASS/3, the next generation of the Central Clearing and Settlement System, on Monday, 9 December, pending the successful conversion of the system from the Stage-1 to Stage-2 format during the weekend of 7 and 8 December.

CME Announces Jan. 26 Start Date for GLOBEX® Eagle Project
Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) today announced a start date of Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003 (for a trade date of Monday, Jan. 27, 2003) for the exchange's Eagle Project, which will permit electronic calendar spread trading on its GLOBEX® electronic trading platform. The exchange plans to offer customers an opportunity to use the system in a full production simulation on Saturday, Dec.14, 2002 and Saturday, Jan.11, 2003.

For the week of November 18th-November 22nd, 2002, securities traded on the Order-driven market 8 553 times. The total turnover on the unified market of two exchanges reached 2 312 million rubles, with 247 million shares changing hands. 62 directly - addressed trades accounted for 300 million rubles in total turnover.

Russian Trading System Futures Contracts Initial Margin To Increase From December 10th To December 16th, 2002
In accordance with Attachment 7 to the "RTS Technical Center Clearing Rules", starting December 10th, 2002, after closing, and ending December 16th, 2002, before opening, the minimum initial margin on all futures contracts will increase to 20% of the total value of a contract. The appropriate decision was made by the RTS Derivatives Committee on November 21st, 2002.
