Stock Exchange Of Thailand Board Approves Setting A Fund Worth THB 300 Million To Establish A Derivatives Market And Extends The Deadline To 31 Jul. 04 For ROYNET's New Administration To Submit Its Financial Statements

The SET Board of Governors has resolved to set an investment fund worth THB 300 million to establish a derivatives market as well as extend the deadline to 31 July 2004 for ROYNET to submit its financial statements and provide the SET with a clear business plan by 31 October 2004. The Board also issued a new regulation regarding any case where a listed financial institution has engaged in a merger or acquisition as prescribed in the Commercial Banking Act.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/ASX 50 Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading Friday 26th March, 2004: Origin Energy Limited (Australia, SEDOL: 6214861, GICS Code: 10102010) a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index will increase its shares by 4,280,812 to 655,057,972. This change is due to the addition of shares issued pursuant to the company's dividend reinvestment plan. There is no change to the IWF.

Results Of FTSE Country Classification Consultation Announced

No changes to country status to take effect in 2004 Shadow indices to be introduced in March 2005 The results of FTSE's public consultation on the treatment of countries within global benchmarks have been announced. The consultation, conducted in December 2003, has revealed widespread support for the proposal for a more transparent, objective and consistent treatment of countries being assigned as developed or emerging markets.

March Volume Of CME E-mini" Russell 2000® Surpasses One Million Contracts - Contract Also Sets New Open Interest Record

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) reported month-to-date volume in its benchmark E-mini™ Russell 2000® equity index futures contract surged past the one million contract level on Friday, March 19, setting a new record and marking the first time that total volume in the contract has surpassed the one million mark in a single month.

Lyxor Asset Management Launches Two Government Bond Exchange Traded Funds On Euronext Based On Two Maturity Bands Of The EuroMTS Index

Lyxor Asset Management today launched two Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) on Euronext tracking the EuroMTS 3-5 year and 10-15 year maturity band indices. The addition of these two new ETFs complements the EuroMTS Global Master Unit successfully launched by Lyxor Asset Management in January 2004 and affords bond market participants and fund managers significant new opportunities to trade the eurozone government bond yield curve.

Turnover The total turnover on all market segments of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) amounted to SIT 28.2 billion in February 2004, which was14.4% less than in January 2004 and remained on the level of the last year's monthly average. In comparison to February2003, the turnover increased by 6.8% (SIT1.8 billion). In February 2004, shares accounted for 67.3% of turnover, bonds contributed 19.1%, and shares of investment funds 13.6%. There were no transactions concluded
