CBOT May Average Daily Volume Rises 11.7 Percent From Last Year - Year-To-Date Average Daily Volume Up 21.9 Percent

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that Exchange-wide average daily volume for May increased to 3,078,825 contracts, up 11.7 percent over last year and 21.9 percent year-to-date (YTD). Total Exchange volume in May increased to 64,655,316 contracts, up 17.2 percent from last year and 5.4 percent from last month.

CBOT Fed Funds May Settlement

The CBOT® 30-Day Fed Fund futures contract for May 2005 will be cash settled this morning at a final settlement price of 96.997, implying an average daily effective federal funds rate of 3.003 percent during the delivery month. Please refer to the attached spreadsheet for more information regarding the calculation of this settlement.

CBOE May Volume Increases 24%; Options On Nasdaq-100 And S&P 500 Indexes Set New CBOE Records

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that May trading volume at CBOE was 34,689,801 contracts traded, an increase of 24% over the year-ago level of 27,906,821 contracts.Trading volume in index options at CBOE increased 14% over 2004, driven by two new records set in options on the Nasdaq-100 Index (NDX) and the Standard & Poor's 500 Index (SPX).In Nasdaq-100 Index options, CBOE set a new record for monthly volume with 559,122 contracts traded in May, eclipsing the previous r

97 Million Contracts Traded On Eurex In May - Turnover Up 16 Percent Year-On-Year/European Equity Options Trading Further Increases

The international derivatives market Eurex traded 97 million contracts in May. This is an increase of around 16 percent year on year (May 2004: 83.6 million contracts). The average daily trading volume in the first five months increased 12 percent and reached 4.9 Mio. contracts (Jan-May 2005: 4.4 Mio. contracts).
