    Following the official result of the takeover bid by the French company Gecina (Next 150 index) for the French company Simco (Next 150 index), Simco will be removed from the Next 150 index effective Tuesday 12 November 2002.

    Australian Stock Exchange's equities market was suspended for approximately three hours today following an apparent software problem during the start of trading. SEATS encountered the problem during the latter stages of the opening sequence of the equities market at 10:06 (AEDT) today. This led to potential corruption of key trade and order data, and accordingly the market was suspended.

    The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that it will implement a trading system that allows registered options traders (ROTs) to electronically post bids and offers with size using an electronic interface with AUTOM, the PHLX's electronic order delivery, routing, execution and reporting system for equity and equity index options. The program will begin Monday, November 11.

    The growth of GDP this year has surpassed analysts' forecasts, i.e. in the third quarter it increased by 6.6%, and during nine months it grew by 6.1%. In October, there were quite a few stock events and shareholders' meetings. Issuers of the Official and Current Lists informed market participants about nine-month results of operation, which were the following: 31 companies recorded profit at the end of three quarters, whereas 15 companies reported the losses.
