NYSE Announces Quarterly Changes To The NYSE Family Of Indexes

The New York Stock Exchange will make the following changes to the NYSE U.S. 100, NYSE International 100, NYSE TMT and the NYSE World Leaders Indexes effective Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 as a result of quarterly re-balancing.

NYBOT Announces Changes To Listing Schedule For December 2003 NYSE Composite Index® Futures And Options Contracts

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today that effective with the opening of trading on Monday, December 23, 2002, the December 2003 NYSE Composite Index futures contract will be delisted from trading and the December 2003 NYSE Composite Index options contracts will not be listed for trading as long as there is no open interest in the futures contract as of the close of business Friday, December 20, 2002.

London Stock Exchange: Banco De Chile Joins The Ranks Of International Companies In London

Eurex: Another Successful Year At Eurex With Over 800 Million Contracts Traded

Eurex, the international derivatives exchange, is reporting another new world record in trading volume for the year 2002. Based on the preliminary figures, which include estimated volumes for the last five trading days of the year, over 800 million contracts were traded and cleared in 2002, compared with 674 million contracts the year before. The American Stock Exchange (Amex) member and non-member organizations yesterday reported short interest of 469,162,529 shares as of the December 13 settlement date, a decrease of 13,478,263 from the 482,640,792 (adjusted) shares reported in mid-November. The December figure represents trades through December 10, 2002.
