The value of average daily trading in shares and unit trust certificates amounted to just under DKK 1.5 billion, which was the same level as in August 2001. Turnover in the KFX shares advanced by 12 per cent.

CBOT August Volume Sets Record At 36.5 Million Contracts

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced record trading volume of 36,482,162 contracts for August 2002, up 58.6% from August 2001 and up 31.7% year-to-date (YTD) at 222,846,728. August 2002 volume was up 9.8% from the previous monthly volume record set in July 2002 at 33,240,174.

August Volume: CME's August Volume Surpasses All Previous Augusts

Trading volume on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) in August surpassed any previous August in the exchange's history, as 48.3 million contracts changed hands, a 41 percent increase over year-ago levels. The underlying value of CME's August trading volume totaled $30.4 trillion. Year-to-date, CME volume of 366.8 million contracts is 44 percent higher than 2001 levels.
