    The aggregate turnover statistics show that a total volume of 245 billion euros was traded on all German stock exchanges in the last month of trading in 2002 (December 2001: 257 billion euros). The December total comprises about 151.5 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as some 93.5 billion euros in fixed-income securities.     Trading volume on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) reached a record 558.4 million contracts in 2002, the highest level in the exchange's 104-year history and 36 percent higher than CME's previous record year in 2001. Volume on CME's GLOBEXÒ electronic trading platform rose 142 percent over the record set in 2001 to reach nearly 198 million contracts last year.

    The value of share trading in 2002 came to DKK 391 billion, which corresponds to a decrease of an apparent 29 per cent compared with DKK 551 billion (adjusted to DKK 405 billion) in 2001.
