Euronext Amsterdam: Quarterly Review EPRA Index

Following the quarterly review of the EPRA index on 28th February 2001, the EPRA Index Committee decided under the ground rules of the index to make the following changes. The changes are effective as at 2nd April 2001.

CBOE QQQ Options Volume Continues To Soar

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that reported volume in QQQ options on Thursday, March 8 was 317,256 contracts (162,612 calls and 154,644 puts) traded, accounting for 74% of the total trading volume at the four options exchanges currently trading the QQQ options.

Nymex To Lower Palladium Margins

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will decrease the margins on its palladium futures contract for all but the March 2001 contract at the close of business on Wednesday, March 14.
Novellus Systems, Inc. To Join the Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning March 13, 2001

Novellus Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:NVLS), of San Jose, California, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Tuesday, March 13, 2001. Novellus will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). Novellus will replace BMC Software, Inc. (BMCS).
Fourth Anniversary Neuer Markt - Neuer Markt Goes International - Expanded Position As Europe's Leading IPO Platform

On March 10, 2001, Neuer Markt will be celebrating its fourth anniversary. As part of the internationalization strategy for the segment, Neuer Markt will focus on reinforcing its activities in Scandinavia and southern Europe. The company reported this in Frankfurt on Thursday. Neuer Markt will expand its position as the leading IPO platform in Europe. At present, 56 of the 337 companies listed on Neuer Markt are based outside Germany.
