World Federation Of Exchanges' Emerging Markets Forum

The World Federation Of Exchanges' Emerging Markets Forum will be held on 16 - 18 December in Malaysia. The Forum will focus on issues concerning exchanges in developing markets, with the participation of the World Bank, the OECD, the Securities Industry Association SIA, Harvard Law School, Thomas Murray, MIT, the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Accounting Standards Board, the exchange managers themselves and many others.

Nord Pool Chooses OM As Clearing Technology Partner

Nord Pool's wholly-owned subsidiary, Nordic Electricity Clearing House ASA (NECH), has reached an extensive co-operation agreement with OM for the provision and facility management of OM's SECUR™ clearing system. The agreement is set to run for seven years and means that OM will become the new systems provider for Nord Pool's clearing operations with effect from January 1 2004. Until then Nord Pool will continue to work with Power Clearing Systems AS (PCS).

New Versions Of "RTS Composite Index Calculation Methodology"

Effective December 17th, 2002, new editions of "RTS Composite Index Calculation Methodology" and "Information Disclosure Guidance" will come into force. The documents were brought in line with the Federal Commission on Securities Market Regulations dated June 7th, 2002, that amend the 'Trade Organizer Requirements" issued on January 4, 2002.
