Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, April 24, 2003: Energas Resources Inc. (TSXVN:EEG) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The shares of the company will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange at the request of the company after the close of trading on Wednesday, May 7, 2003. The shares of the company will continue to be listed on Nasdaq OTC Bulletin Board.
Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

In an effort to build consistency and clarity of its indices, Standard & Poor's and the TSX announce that they will change the names of the indices listed below, effective after the close Wednesday, April 30, 2003. The new names indicate that the indices are capped. The new names also differentiate between the real-time and end of day index values. Each index on the list currently is calculated on a real-time basis and is published daily via various media outlets. Tickers will not be affected.

The Kosdaq Stock Market Inc. held a workshop on the cooperation of growth markets with the Jasdaq Market on April 21 at Tokyo, Japan. Following the meetings, Mr. Ho-Joo Shin, President & CEO of the Kosdaq Stock Market and Mr. Nobuo Kurakazu, President of the Jasdaq Market signed a communique on mutual cooperation. The two markets agreed on exchange of information and promotion of exchanging personnel in the future.
