CFTC Expands Eligibility Of Bunched Trading To All Futures Customers

Bunching of orders is now available for the orders of all futures customers under a rule change by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The rule also provides recordkeeping relief to Futures Commission Merchants (FCMs) and Commodity Trading Advisors (CTAs).

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced that a new daily volume record was set for mini-sized Dow Jones futures on 57,576 contracts traded June 6, breaking the previous high of 54,639 contracts set May 20, 2003.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index change effective after the close of business on Monday, June 9, 2003: The relative weight of ARC Energy Trust (TSX:AET.UN) will increase by approximately 0.60% in the S&P/TSX Capped Income Trust Index and by approximately 1.26% in the S&P/TSX Capped Energy Trust Index. The relative weight change reflects an adjustment to the float trust units of the income trust due to the issuance of units.

OneChicago Breaks Daily Volume Record With More Than 100,000 Contracts

On June 5, two days after topping 100,000 contracts in open interest, OneChicago's daily contract volume also crossed the 100,000 threshold. The revised total volume traded at OneChicago on June 5 after firm adjustments was 101,087 contracts. In the Exchange's busiest day of trading since the Nov. 8 launch of security futures in the U.S., 13 different single stock futures traded more than 3,000 contracts, including:
