    On August 8, the reincorporation merger overwhelmingly approved by the membership of the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) became effective and, as a result, the CBOT has been reincorporated in Delaware as a Delaware not-for-profit, nonstock corporation. In connection with the reincorporation, the CBOT has changed its name to "Board of Trade of the City of Chicago, Inc."

    The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on August 8 of the standard maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 10.6 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 15.5 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.
