Amsterdam, Brussels And Paris Merge To Create The Leading European Exchange: Euronext

Jean François Théodore, Chairman and CEO of Paris Bourse SBF SA, George Möller, President of the Amsterdam Exchanges (AEX), and Olivier Lefebvre, President of the Brussels Exchanges (BXS) announced this morning their agreement to create a merger of the Belgian, Dutch and French exchanges.

Agreement Links Fifty-Plus.Net And TSE.Com - Toronto Stock Exchange Site Will Host Some Fifty-Plus.Net Content

Fifty-Plus.Net International. Inc. announced today that it has signed an agreement with tse.com, the website of the Toronto Stock Exchange. The agreement provides for site links, access to stock price information, posting of some Fifty-Plus.net content on tse.com, and sharing of joint advertising revenue from these pages.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Futures Total Open Interest Record Set

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) established a new record total open interest in futures on March 15, 2000 at 106,016 contracts. The previous record for total open interest of 105,346 contracts was set October 15, 1999.

NYSE To Extend 3 Additional Days Of Trading In ADR Of PT Tri Polyta Indonesia

The New York Stock Exchange announced today that trading in the American Depositary Receipt (ADR) of PT Tri Polyta Indonesia (the "Company") -- ticker symbol TPI-will be extended for three days in order to allow for additional time to effectuate an orderly transition to an alternate market. Trading now will be suspended prior to the opening on Thursday, March 23, 2000.

New SWX Volume Record

The SWX Swiss Exchange will set today an all-time volume record. By 12:00 noon, SWX had already registered turnover in excess of CHF 8 billion. The previous record of CHF 9.557 billion was set on 15 January 1999.

Program Trading Averaged 16.3 Percent Of NYSE Volume During Mar. 6-10

The New York Stock Exchange today released its weekly program-trading data submitted by its member firms. The report includes trading in all markets as reported to the NYSE for Mar. 6-10. The data indicated that during Mar. 6-10, program trading amounted to 16.3 percent of NYSE average daily volume of 1,163.9 million shares, or 189.4 million shares a day.
