Hong Kong Futures Exchange: SFC Levy And Compensation Fund Levy For Mini-HSI Futures Reduced

Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announced today (Wednesday) that the SFC (Securities and Futures Commission) Levy and Compensation Fund Levy on the Mini-Hang Seng Index (Mini-HSI) Futures contract have been reduced from HK$1.00 and HK$0.50 to HK$ 0.20 and HK$0.10 respectively with effect from today, 14 February 2001.

Deutsche Börse Updates Composition Of Equity Indices - Companies Replaced In DAX, MDAX, NEMAX 50 And SDAX

On Wednesday, Deutsche Börse decided the composition of the MDAX, NEMAX 50 and SDAX indices as part of its regular index review. The Executive Board of Deutsche Börse also made an unscheduled change in the DAX. All of the changes will be implemented on March 19.

Deutsche Börse Reduces Costs For Distribution Of Real-Time Prices To Private Investors By As Much As 60 Percent - Xetra Live With Attractive Pricing

As of February 15, 2001, Deutsche Börse is lowering the prices for real-time price data that private investors access via information vendors, direct banking facilities and finance portals by as much as 60 percent. The company is making the price cuts in response to the rapidly growing interest for private investors. The new retail price model is also the basis for the price calculation for the Xetra Live information screen, which Deutsche Börse is offering via the Internet.

The Central Bank Of Iceland Auctions Repurchase Agreements For 26.5 Billion Krónur.

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on February 13 of the maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 11.4 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 26.5 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Announces Dual-Listing Of First U.S.-Based Company

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange announced that the shares of Polycom Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCM), a California-based company will begin trading on the TASE today. Polycom became the first U.S.-based company to dual-list its shares on the TASE. The company develops, manufactures and markets a full range of premium quality network access devices and broadband appliances.

Euronext Amsterdam Has Good Start To Year

Euronext Amsterdam’s markets achieved good results in the first month of 2001. The total value of turnover on the stock market exceeded ? 221 billion, up 30% on January 2000. The newly introduced trackers (investment products that closely follow an index) also performed well. In their first month, trackers included in the NextTrack segment had a total market capitalisation of ? 439 million.
