The Central Bank Of Iceland Auctions Repurchase Agreement For 24.1 Billion Krónur.

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on February 20 of the maturity of 14 days.The auction was a fixed rate one at 11.4 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 24.1 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.

Nymex To Allow Comex Division Seat Owners To Act As Brokers For Platinum, Palladium And Propane Contracts Beginning Feb.21

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced that beginning tomorrow, COMEX Division seat-owners and employees of member firms using COMEX Division seats owned by their firms will be allowed to do brokerage business in NYMEX Division platinum, palladium, and propane futures and platinum options.

Euronext Amsterdam: E/S Norden A/S Will Be Deleted From The EPRA Indices

The shareholders of EjendomsSelskabet Norden A/S accepted the takeover bid of Norden Invest. Norden Invest currenly controls 95,1% of the shares outstanding and will be delisted very soon after 8 March. EjendomsSelskabet Norden A/S will be deleted from the relevant indices with effect from Monday 26 February 2001, in accordance with rule 5.3.3. of the index ground rules.

CBOT Announces Appointment Of David Vitale As President And CEO

The Chicago Board of Trade, the largest futures and options exchange in the U.S., today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed David J. Vitale, a long-time Chicago bank executive with years of experience in capital markets, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Vitale replaces Dennis A. Dutterer, who served as the CBOT®'s Interim President and CEO for nine months since the departure last April of former President and CEO Thomas R. Donovan.

Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange Taskforce Issues Guidance On Internal Controls

The Taskforce on Internal Controls, established by Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE), has issued the guidance - ‘Statement On Internal Control: Guidance for Directors of Public Listed Companies’. The guidance is being issued in relation to paragraph 15.27(b) of the new Listing Requirements which stipulates that a listed issuer must ensure that its board of directors must make a statement in its annual report about the state of internal control of the company as a group.
