Management Changes At The Oslo Stock Exchange

There have recently been certain changes in the senior management team at the Oslo Stock Exchange. Håvard Abrahamsen, Senior Vice President, Equity Markets, and Per Eikrem, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, have joined the senior management team, whilst Tor Birkeland, Executive Vice President, has left the Oslo Stock Exchange. Anders Brodin has taken over Mr. Birkeland´s role as Deputy to the President and Chief Executive Officer.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today announced that a record for the largest one-day volume in a single class was established when 221,206 contracts (148,855 calls and 72,351 puts) traded on Cisco Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq symbol CSCO, CBOE symbol CYQ) on Tuesday, February 7th.

Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. To Join The Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning February 13, 2001

Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. (Brocade®) (Nasdaq:BRCD), of San Jose, California, will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index®, effective at the beginning of trading Tuesday, February 13, 2001. Brocade will also be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index Tracking StockSM (Amex:QQQ). Brocade will replace SDL, Inc. (SDLI), which is being acquired by JDS Uniphase Corporation.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Focus On Canola

March canola futures ended the month at Cdn$258 per tonne, having traded in a relatively narrow range throughout January. Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) Mar 01 soybean oil values (adjusted for currency) established lows not observed in about a decade in early January, but traded at higher values throughout the remainder of the month, providing some support to canola values. CBOT soybean meal values, however, experienced a significant decline throughout January, losing over Cdn$30 per tonne to end

The Central Bank Of Iceland Auctions Repurchase Agreements For 23.6 Billion Krónur

The Central Bank of Iceland held a weekly auction of repurchase agreements on February 6 of the maturity of 14 days. The auction was a fixed rate one at 11.4 per cent p.a. Offers were made for a total amount of 23.6 billion krónur resulting in repurchase contracts for that amount.
