Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) Consultation On Possible Implementing Measures Of The Proposed Prospectus Directive

CESR on October 16 released a consultation paper on possible detailed technical measures needed to implement the proposed Directive on Prospectuses to be published when securities are offered to the public or admitted to trading (Ref. CESR/02-185b). These measures are being developed on the basis of a provisional mandate given to CESR by the European Commission on 18 March 2002 (published on 27 March 2002). Coffee C Futures Reach New Record At NYBOT

The New York Board of Trade (NYBOT®) announced today a new Open Interest record for its Coffee "C" futures contract of 75,800 contracts set on Thursday, October 17, 2002. The old "C" record was 74,689 contracts established on September 18, 2002.

The Chicago Board of Trade has established the following trading schedule in connection with the Veterans Day holiday: Friday, November 8: Open auction: Financial* contracts close at 12:00 noon. All other open auction contracts (Agricultural and Stock Index) close at their normal times. Electronic a/c/eSM trading: Financial and Metals contracts close at 12:30 p.m. All other a/c/e trading closes at normal times.
