Nymex To Increase Margins On Crude Oil, Heating Oil, Gasoline

At today's annual general meeting of the London Stock Exchange all of the directors standing were re-elected to the Board. Three directors were elected on a poll and the results of the ballot are: Gavin Casey, For: 9,462,218 (56.3%), Against: 7,337,778 (43.7%); Michael Marks, For: 11,445,231(73.1%), Against: 4,215,420 (26.9%); Don Cruickshank, For: 10,984,563 (66.5%), Against: 5,525,408 (33.5%).

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) announced today that its equity option volume for the month of August reached a record 5,923,531 contracts traded. This represents a 61% increase over the same month last year when 3,680,056 contracts changed hands and a 9% increase over the previous record volume month set in March, 2000 when 5,450,551 contracts changed hands.
