Kuwait Stock Exchange Trading Report For November 2003

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 4,521.8 points at the end of November 2003, an increase of 134.5 points from the closing value at the end of October, 2003. The weighted index reached 277.15 points at the end of November, an increase of 5.43 points from the closing value at the end of the previous month.

FTSE/Xinhua (FXI), the China index specialist, today announces the creation of a tradable A share index, the FXI A50 Index. The FXI A50, will join the successful FTSE/Xinhua Index Series, and will launch in January 2004. On January 2, Eurex, the international derivatives market, in close coordination with HEX Integrated Markets, its Finnish cooperation partner, will reduce the transaction fees for all Finnish equity options traded at Eurex by more than half on average.
