    On 24 February 2004, Group 4 Falck A/S and Securicor plc announced that it had been agreed to demerge Group 4 Falck A/S into the companies Group 4 A/S and Falck A/S. Subsequently, Group 4 A/S will be merged with Securicor plc and found the company Group 4 Securicor plc. Falck A/S and Group 4 A/S will be listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, while Group 4 Securicor plc will be listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

    The American Stock Exchange (Amex) member and non-member organizations today reported short interest of 909,720,207 shares as of the July 15 settlement date, a decrease of 4,872,671 from the 914,592,878 (adjusted) shares reported in mid-June. The July figure represents trades through July 12, 2004.
